Adult Education and Corporate e-learning

April 30th, 2008

Often human resource departments and corporate management mix up corporate e-learning and adult education as the type of training programs. The objectives of them may be similar, but the path that each of them take is extremely different.

Corporate e-learning is concentrated on training but not education. The aim of e-learning is to transmit knowledge to the user in efficient way. On the contrary, adult education is not performance based. In some ways, it serves to bring up the low level of the company staff. Among the teaching basics are arithmetic, writing and reading. It might work as education on basic ideas on computer use. Lots of educational designers have made a decision that the contextualization supported by simulations and animations arise in more efficient knowledge transfer.

Logicality and reliability of instruction is a perfect objective. Pretence and visual training courses commonly trail a norm set of presentation. It lets for a more measureable and immediate examination of holding and skill presentation.

This varies from the alternative learning experiences in many education programs for adults. Such programs might support the improving of a courses material, but the retention of skills’ application and the material are incompatible.
